I have just gotten back from a two day event with my mentor Marc Dassualt, the theme of the event was about developing an exponential mindset. If you don’t know what exponential means it is increasing at an increasing rate. Or in other words it is earn more money faster, or becoming better as a sport faster than everyone else.
As I have mentioned in previous posts this year one of my goals is to acquire more of an exponential mindset so I can have and expect exponential results.
Over the next couple of weeks I am going to share with some of the powerful concepts I learnt over the weekend and show you how you can implement these same strategies in your life or business to also have exponential results.
The first powerful concepts I want to share with you is what I like to call “The 1% Difference”.
Here is a diagram to help me illustrate how it works and what it is:

Now which curve would you like to be on and why? Curve A, Curve B or Curve C?
They all start at the same point and all finish at the same point however each one has very different results.
The fact that we are talking about having an exponential mindset curve C is a typical exponential curve so you would expect that one to be the better one, right? Well let’s have a look at Curve B it is the shortest and most direct to getting to the end results, however this is not exponential.
Curve A is where you really want to be, and here is why. If you shade the space under the curve as a measure of what you can achieve is shows that curve A has the biggest results in the shortest period of time.

Let me explain, let’s say one axis represents time and the other money, as you can see from the diagram below Curve A is where you get exponential results.

So the question you should be asking “how do I get on and stay on Curve A? Excellent, great question I am glad you asked
You get on Curve A simply by improving at 1% at a time. Now please notice this is important I said Improving 1% at a time not Doing 1% at a time.
Here is the power in improving just 1%.
If you improved your business for example just 1% per week then you would have a 167% improved or increase in business results over the year, it is 1% compounding which is nothing short of excellent!…but wait,
What if you improved just 1% every day you would have a whopping 3778% increase – That’s OUTSTANDING! And all just from improving 1% a day.
You don’t need to take massive amounts of action and burn yourself out you simply just need to be focused and improve at a rate of 1% per day to get exponential results.

We are just over a month into the New Year, how is your progress coming along? I hope you aren’t dropping the ball and sliding back into routines that aren’t taking you towards your goals.
These days a lot of my work revolves around being on a computer I have recently become more conscious to the fact that I have been falling into the trap of doing busy work instead of productive work.
One of my goals this year is to be more productive, to acquire the art of getting more done, with less effort.
We all only have the same 24 hours in a day, time is our most precious commodity learning how to be more productive and using your time wisely is one of the most important skills to acquire.
Not only to allow you to get more things done but to have more time available to do whatever you want, to do the things that make you happy.
Over the last few weeks I have been observing what has be distracting me from being more productive, besides the somewhat lack of motivation and focus. I found uncovered 3 major distractions that I plan on working on over the coming months and year.
1.) Checking Email 45K Times A Day – I have noticed email has been a big time bandit. I notice I have it open consistently. As soon as a new message is there I pick it up in minutes, interrupting my focus as I feel compelled to open it.
Action steps: I have decided to set specific times during the day when I will read and reply to emails. For the first week I am only going check once in the morning again in the afternoon, and once more at night. After the first week of 2 I plan on cutting this down to only twice a day and by the end of the month I only want to check once a day.
2.) Goofing Off On Facebook – Another big distraction I have noticed recently has been Facebook, I never really knew how much time I was wasting goofing off on facebook until I started to record it. Sure I was having fun and there is nothing wrong with that, I like staying in contact with my friends and doing a bit of social networking can go along way but all in moderation.
Action Steps: I am simply just going to be discipline on this one, using will power. To help me stay motivated and productive I have redefined WHY I am going after my goals and WHAT it will mean to me to achieve my goal. I am adding constant reminders to my consciousness to keep me focused and on track, like pictures, videos, words, etc.
3.) Clean Home – I heard once that the state of your bedroom or your car is a reflection of yourself and your thoughts. Meaning if you live in trash them your thoughts and consciousness is in a mess, If you have clutter then your mind is usually full of clutter too. Is this true…I have no idea, but somewhere along the road I have picked up this belief which I feel it serves me well, so it is true for me.
Action Steps: By keeping a clear mind and fit body I am planning this is cause a good side effect to keep the house clean and intact. I am also going to adopt the mind set of being a celebrity, meaning that wherever they go, whatever they do a celebrity has to assume someone is watching and possibly taking photos to publish in a magazine. By keeping this mindset I am planning this will keep my mind sharp on appearances, etc.
I will keep you posted on my progress.
I would love to hear your thoughts, ideas, and feedback about what else I can implement to be more productive this year, thanking you in advance.

For almost 2 years now I have been meditating regularly and experimenting with audio tracks that influence my brain waves and brain activity. The results have been outstanding and I have made a vow to myself to continue to mediate for the rest of my life and do what I can to continually to expand my consciousness.
I saw this video today and I have to say if you want to expand your consciousness them you should watch this everyday in HD on the biggest tv screen you have.

Do you know what you want? I mean exactly in detail what you want? If you can’t answer that question with a clear, concise confident answer I beg you to sit down for a few minutes, a hour, however long it takes, lock the door, turn off the phone use your imagination and brainstorm and work out what you want.
What you want in the next 3 months, next 12 months, next 5 years. If you could do, be, have anything, live life any way you could what would this look like, sound like how would you feel?
You owe it to yourself to do this. This is perhaps the most important question you will ever answer in your life.
Clarity is power!
Most people have no idea what they want, sure everyone wants more money, good health, loving relationship, etc, however this is not good enough there is no power in being general.
What you need to define how much money do you want, how many hours do you want to work a day and what type of work. When you are not working what would you do to fill your time, what new hobbies would you pursue.
If you want better health, what does this mean to you? Does it mean doing 100 push ups in 30 minutes, being flexible to do the splits or run a 4 minute mile?
What kind of person and relationship do you want, what things you would do together, how would they treat you, etc.
The more time you spend on this and the more details and clarity you get the more power it will have. If you have not done this yet I sincerely hope you take the time to get really clear on exactly what you want.
I want to share a quick video with you that a good friend shared with me recently, I am sure you will recognize many of the people in it, watch out for what John Mayer says at around the 4:52 mark.
Enjoy

Today, I want to expand on the obvious benefits to your health, wellbeing, and physical quality of life of looking good and why you should care so much.
Because as much as we hate to admit it, we all judge a book by its cover… and judge people on how they look.
You’d agree that when you look good, you feel good. But, looking great can also be a HUGE bonus to your bank account.
Attractive people earn more money than their less attractive peers. This has been researched scientifically and is called the ‘ugliness penalty’.
Surprisingly, men are MORE subject to the penalty than women. In a Canadian and American survey, ugly men earned -9% of average income, while ugly women earned —6%.
China was the only country where the penalty was higher for women.
Why does this happen? Are attractive people smarter? More qualified?
NO! Just look at the track record of many handsome or pretty movie stars.
The ugliness penalty happens because of the ‘Halo Effect’.
The Halo Effect is a trick of our subconscious. Our inner minds look for signs of health – a throwback to SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST. We assume that people who have a symmetrical face, a trim waist, and a healthy glow are better than their lackluster counterparts.
The good news is the Halo Effect diminishes with time. The longer we know a person the less likely we are to base our judgment on their looks.
The bad news is beauty is still in the eye of the beholder.
More bad news: Some people are born with an undeniable natural unattractiveness.
Good news: Thankfully, there are measures that everyone can take to appear more attractive.
GOOD HEALTH is the universal indicator of attractiveness.
You can achieve a healthy look through proper DIET, regular EXERCISE and LOW STRESS levels.
Moderation is another key to the look of attractive health. Excesses that can diminish attractiveness include alcohol, smoking, and drug use.
On the other hand, multivitamins and meticulous grooming can go far towards improving your looks.
The ULTIMATE way to look your best is to have confidence in yourself. No amount of sparkle and glow can make up for the look of someone who is unsure of him/herself.
I know this all sounds obvious, but here’s the twist that you are probably expecting…
What is 6 or 9% of your wage/earnings/salary?
If you make $50,000, it’s $3,000 to $4,500 in lost income.
If you make $100,000 it’s $6,000 to $9,000.
I know you never quite saw it this way – sure makes your gym membership seem inexpensive doesn’t it?
This post is all about getting you to think differently about things as – Einstein said “No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it.”
