Poetry In Motion – Phantom Coupe
I remember it like it was just yesterday, well in fact it was just 4 days ago really, but it seems like just yesterday, I think I will remember this day for a long time to come.
My good friend Darius and I had recently brought some new mountain bikes as a fun way to stay active and thought we would go out for a ride as it was such as beautiful day. There was a triathlon on and there were tri athletes everywhere around where we went for a ride and they had blocked some of the road so the traffic was really starting to bank up in certain areas, and that is where I saw it, in fact maybe I will call it a her, yes that fits better. She was beautiful.
Right there in front of me was a brand new Rolls Royce Coupe and oh my…it was stunning, it was like seeing Jessica Alba sunbaking in front of you, Ok maybe not that good.
The Rolls Royce Phantom which the Coupe is based on was first released in Britain in 2003. However with the new edition and craftsmanship of the Phantom Coupe and The Phantom Drophead Coupé it is now complete.
Unfortunately it is out of my price range however being an admirer of cars you can’t help having a soft spot for it. The great thing about the Phantom coupe I see is that it is a car you would drive yourself as I think if I could afford a Rolls Royce Phantom you would need a driver. (hmm what a great vision, being able to have your own driver, maybe one day)
The lines of the car, the rear hinge door and the star lights in the roof are just a few of the features that make this car so grand, not to mention the v12 engine capable of getting the car to a top speed of 250km/h (governed) and 0-100km/h in just 5.8 seconds. However this car is not meant to be driven fast, simply a way of getting to your destination in a luxury cruising manner.
